The best advice I can give you is look at the season your in. We are in a transitional season (as we don't have any newborns in the house and none on the way) and having a new routine is just what we needed the second of this school year.
Taking a slow start back into homeschooling is easier than you think. All I do is take a full day and split it into two. You could even split a full day into three days if you wanted to.
I am curious are you a reader, what were some of the impactful books that you read this last year? If you are not a reader and want to become one this 2019, any of these books are great place to start for this upcoming year.
Do you stay in a constant state of Advent throughout the year? Each night (well 90 percent of the time) we make the time to read our advent book.
I want to be known as a mom who dreamed and wasn't afraid to chase those dreams. I want my children to do the same and I want to teach them with God's power inside us we really can do anything!
First of all I don’t always meal plan a month a time, but I know this month will be a wee bit crazy busy. Getting our dinners planned with the grocery shopping mostly out of the way, so early in the month, is something that will make this month run much easier.
With everything going on this last month I couldn’t grasp my head around advent season. Last year we as a family did the She Reads Truth study and loved it.
Friday, I made it to the end on the week. Only to be greeted with a morning of the kids fighting which ended in them breaking one of the kitchen cupboards. I don’t even know where or how to order a new one. I suppose I can call the builder next week (eyes rolling).
I can not tell you the last time we have had a full school day. A day that’s went by without yelling at my kids or I felt the want to want to keep up on life, two days in a row. This has been a whole month I would say I completely lost! A whole month I would say I got so very little done. I whole month that I think I yelled at my kids more in than I have the whole year.
My favorite things about the holiday season is slowing down, savoring every moment, doing our traditions, as well as starting new traditions. By definition traditions mean: the handing down of information, beliefs, or customs from one generation to another
Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I am a God fearing girl, book nerd, sweat tea lover and wife to my high school sweetheart. Mother to four beautiful blessings, who God has placed on my heart to homeschool.
